Al Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 16 match against Al Wakrah.

Everyone knows the importance of the upcoming matches for Al Sailiya and the presence of the club’s president (Mr. Abdullah Al Eida) with us during this period gave us a boost. It is a great morale booster for us and the players.

“Positive results do not come with enthusiasm and excessive recklessness, but with focus and discipline, we see the determination of the players to get out of the current situation. Certainly, the results are dismal, but we must perform what is required of us to the fullest, strive and do our utmost. We strive with all strength to achieve positive results and success God-willing,” said Trabelsi.

Al Sailiya player Ghanem Al Qahtani said, “We need to win against Al Wakrah and get the three points more than ever.

“Our preparations to face Al Wakrah were different than before, because the team's position and its presence in the danger zone requires greater focus and double efforts from everyone. We need the three points more than ever and the team witnessed strengthening of the ranks during the winter transfer period by recruiting new professionals, which we hope will be helpful for the team in the coming period.

“Al Wakrah are a distinguished team that has achieved positive results and is one of the best teams in the league. It presents a very distinguished technical and tactical levels, and our matches with them are always characterized by enthusiasm. God-willing, with the support of all, we will come out of this match with a positive result.”
