Al Rayyan coach Leonardo Jardim spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 10 match against Al Ahli.

“We did not play as expected in some past matches and we must be fully focused in order to get the three points against Al Ahli. We, players, technical staff, management and fans, want to win the matches, and this is what we prepare for every week.

“When you play at a high level, football consists of competition in the group and continuity of matches, and if there is no competition in the group itself and lack of continuity in matches, then performance declines,” said Jardim.

Al Rayyan player Shogo Taniguchi said, “Al Ahli are a very good team that plays well in defence and attack, so we have to continue focusing and we are preparing for this match in order to get the three points.

“The fans are always behind us, so we hope for their presence in this match to help us achieve victory.”​
