Al Sadd coach Javi Gracia spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 20 match against Al Duhail.

“The next match for us is a big match against a very good team.

“Our mentality is to develop and improve day by day, we are ready to compete, knowing that it is one of the most important matches of the season. We know that we are the champions, but at the same time we must maintain our best level until the end.

“I am really happy for all the people who work in the club, including the technical and medical staff and all members of the team. Everyone helps the team make achievements. For me, this is a wonderful thing and something we want to share with all fans.

“Now we are focusing on the next tournament as well. I do not know when we might lose. We always have to win and this is our mentality. We must sustain the momentum to compete strongly in the Amir Cup and AFC Champions League,” said Gracia.

Al Sadd player Boualem Khoukhi said, “Al Sadd fans deserved the championship victory. I also congratulate the players and technical staff on achieving the title three rounds before the end of competition.

“The Al Duhail match will be strong and exciting, like our matches with them in the previous years. We will not enter the match comfortably after the title is settled. We will be fully prepared and we will fight the match with full force to win.

“Our goal is to finish the league without a loss and we are waiting for our fans at the stadium on Friday to celebrate the 16th league title in the club’s history. We will give off our best to appear well during the match.”
