Umm Salal face Al Sadd in Round 3, Group A of the 2022-2023 season Ooredoo Cup on Saturday, 1st October. The kick-off is at 19.15 at the Al Egla Stadium 4.

Al Sadd go into the contest as Group A leaders with six points from two victories - over Al Sailiya (4-0) and Al Wakrah (3-0).

Umm Salal too have won both their matches so far (2-1 over Al Ahli and 3-1 over Qatar SC) and have six points, but face a challenge in claiming the group lead against Al Sadd.

Umm Salal have scored five goals and conceded two so far and hence are second on the points tally on goal difference despite having the same number of points as Al Sadd, who have a goal difference of +7 (seven goals for and none against).

The meeting between the two teams therefore provides for an exciting contest.

Umm Salal’s challenge will be led by their duo of Jonathan Kodjia and Sardor Rashidov.
