Al Wakrah face Al Sailiya in Round 3, Group A of the 2022-2023 season Ooredoo Cup on Saturday, 1st October. The kick-off is at 19.15 at the Al Ersal 2 Stadium.

Eager to restore their positions, both teams will be aiming to outdo the other in this round since both sides are smarting from their second-round defeats.

Al Sailiya and Al Wakrah have not opened their account in the points table as yet, being fifth and sixth respectively currently.

Each team seeks to score their first win in the tournament and improve their position in the group, led by Al Sadd with six points and who would be competing with Umm Salal, who also have six points but behind on goal difference.

Al Wakrah lost 0-3 to Al Sadd in their last encounter and face a tough task against Al Sailiya. Al Wakrah are also trying to take advantage of the Ooredoo Cup matches for many of their players to be ready for the QNB Stars League on its resumption.

Al Sailiya also lost their last round to Al Ahli 2-3.
