Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 17 match against Umm Salal.

“The results are the most important factor in football, and this will not be achieved without great work from the entire system. That is what we are doing on the ground and what we need are only positive results, as we have been doing in the last four or five matches. We have presented distinct technical levels.

“But we did not win in some matches and perhaps the reason for that is the lack of focus in crucial moments. In general, I have great confidence in the players and their ability to achieve the desired results, so we have to focus until the final whistle.

“Umm Salal are a distinguished team and achieved positive results, and our matches with them are always characterized by enthusiasm to achieve a positive result. Everyone in our ranks is ready for the confrontation and we need success. The task is neither easy nor impossible and I am sure that we are working for one goal, which is to delight our loyal fans and reach a creditable position that the team deserves,” said Safri.

Qatar SC goalkeeper Mutasem Majed said, “There is no easy match and this is another difficult match, but what we offer in the field is more important. We worked harder to appear at the required level against Umm Salal, who are also doing well.

“We have a distinguished group of players and great potential, and we are required to put in more efforts, especially since we are able to reach far this season.”
