Al Shamal coach Hicham Jadrane spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 6 match against Al Arabi.

“We are in no doubt that the match against Al Arabi will be a difficult one. Yes, a difficult match awaits us. They are one of the best teams this season. Al Arabi have presented good levels and have not conceded goals this season except against Al Sadd and Al Duhail, which underlines that we are facing a tough team.

“We are aware of the difficulty of the task against Al Arabi, but that does not mean we won’t be aiming for a positive result. We are on the right path and our goal is to always continue to develop. Our target is to achieve more positive results that will improve the team’s ranking.

“We are determined to achieve a result that satisfies us. We know we are in an important stage of the league and that we have to get used to this scenario. We hope success becomes part of our plans from here onwards,” said Hicham.

Al Shamal player Fahad Waad said, “It is an important game for us. We are certainly facing a confrontation that will be very strong since both sides are desperate to collect the three points on offer.

“Winning is our first goal with which we always take to the field. We will play the next match with our complete respect for Al Arabi team. We are well aware of their strengths, but we also have ambitions – we will strive to achieve the best position we can in the league this season.”
