Al Rayyan coach Artur Jorge spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 9 match (Qatar Clasico) against Al Sadd.

“We know that the Al Wakrah and Al Sadd matches are extremely important, and the Al Sadd match will be a big one because it's against the league champions and the best team in the league. Al Rayyan will play with the same approach: facing the opponent with the aim of winning. This is my message to the players, and we are confident of achieving victory."

“We must play with the same style. As for Al Sadd's results before this match, they mean nothing in a big game like the Qatar Clasico.

“The management did a great job during the last summer transfer window by supporting the team with a large number of distinguished players, both local and foreign professionals. The team has a talented squad, but that is not enough because the team needs a winning mentality. I promise the fans that the team will fight to win championships,” said Artur Jorge.

Al Rayyan player Rodrigo Moreno said, “It will be a big match against the league champions, and we must prepare in the best possible way to face one of the best teams in the league. I'm in great form right now and I'm eager to help the team achieve its goals.
