Al Waab were defeated 3-1 by Al Markhiya in their 2025-2026 season QSL Cup Round 9 match at the Al Gharafa Training Pitch 2 on Saturday.

Yusupha Njie opened the scoring for the visitors in the 20th minute, before Mohammed Abdullah added another in the 44th minute, ensuring they entered the half-time break with a comfortable two-goal lead.

The third goal was scored by Lucas Gabriel in the 73rd minute, while Al Waab’s consolation goal came from Bahaa Faisal in the 85th minute.

The result propelled Al Markhiya to 17 points in the standings, while Al Waab remained on 15 points.
