Al Markhiya were held to a goalless draw by Muaitherin the first round of the 2025-26 QSL Cup at Al Arabi'sGrand Hamad Stadium on Monday.

The high-octane match undeniably produced some very interesting moments, but for all of their efforts, neither of the two sides, who have high ambitions in the Second Division, were able to find the back of the net.

Muaither were reduced to ten men in the 74th minute after Fouad Saleh was given the marching order for a nasty foul.

Despite their numerical advantage, Al Markhiya could not translate it into goals as the coach AleksandarVeselinović's side hanged on to produce a clean slate against the hosts.
