Al Rayyan face Al Arabi in Week 19 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 16:45 at the Al Sadd Stadium on Saturday, 19th February, 2022.

Both teams, with rich tradition and passionate fan base, will be keen to get back to winning ways.

Al Rayyan were held to a 1-1 draw by Al Sailiya and Al Arabi lost 2-3 to Al Ahli in Week 18.

Al Rayyan are going into their first league match under Chilean Nicolas Cordova, who replaced Frenchman Laurent Blanc as coach.

The Lions are placed ninth with 18 points from 17 matches (four wins, six draws and seven defeats). They have a goal difference of -7 (22 goals for and 29 against).

Al Rayyan have a game in hand as their Week 14 match (Qatar Clasico) against reigning champions Al Sadd was postponed.

Cordova succeeded in his first test with Al Rayyan as they defeated Umm Salal through Colombian star James Rodriguez’s stoppage-time goal in the Round of 16 of Amir Cup.

On the other hand, Al Arabi are fifth in the table with 26 points from 18 matches (eight wins, as many defeats and two draws).

The Dream Team, under Younes Ali, have a goal difference of -2 (24 goals for and 26 against).

Al Arabi had lost 0-2 to Al Sailiya in the Round of 16 of Amir Cup.

Al Arabi had beaten Al Rayyan 2-1 in the first leg of 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League.
