Al Sailiya face Al Rayyan in Week 18 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 16:40 at the Al Ahli Stadium on Thursday, 10th February, 2022.

The woes of Al Sailiya, under Tunisian Sami Trabelsi, compounded after they lost 1-2 to Al Wakrah in Week 18. They are precariously placed at the bottom of the table with seven points from 17 matches (one victory, four draws and 12 defeats). They have the most number of losses among the 12 teams.

The Peregrines have a goal difference of -21 (nine goals for and 30 against).

Al Rayyan, coached by Laurent Blanc, are also coming off a defeat, having lost to Al Duhail by a 0-4 margin in Week 18.

The defeat saw The Lions slip two places to ninth with 17 points from 16 matches (four wins, five draws and seven defeats). They have a goal difference of -7 (21 goals for and 28 against).

Al Rayyan have a game in hand as their Week 14 match (Qatar Clasico) against reigning champions Al Sadd was postponed.

Both Al Sailiya and Al Rayyan are desperate for points, the former to avoid relegation and the latter to improve their position.

Al Rayyan had beaten Al Sailiya 4-2 in the first leg of 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League.
