Al Ahli beat Al Khor 6-3 in Week 17 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League at the Al Ahli Stadium on Friday.

Abdullah Al Sulaiti (13th minute), Jose Pozo (22nd minute), Aldokali Sayed (45+2 and 60th minutes), Abdulrahman Al Harazi (68th minute) and Hossein Kanaani (90+1 penalty) scored the goals for Al Ahli.

The Brigadiers’ fourth victory took them to 20 points, whereas Al Khor remained on 11 points following their eighth defeat.  

For Al Khor, Ahmed Al Mohannadi (seventh minute), Pierre-Michel Lasogga (52nd minute) and Juma Al Habsi (76th minute) scored.

Al Ahli and Al Khor had played out a 2-2 draw in the first leg.

This time around, Al Ahli had the last laugh as they emerged victorious by a comfortable margin.

Both teams started off strongly and Al Khor managed to take the lead early through Ahmed Al Mohannadi, who followed up on a rebound from goalkeeper Yazan Naim.

Al Ahli did not have to wait for long for the equalizer, which came through Al Sulaiti.

The goal ignited the enthusiasm of Al Ahli players and they began to control the course of the game. Pozo succeeded in scoring their second goal as he took advantage of a mistake made by Al Khor goalkeeper Ali Nader.

Aldokali scored the third goal for Al Ahli with a superb individual effort in first-half injury time to make it 3-1.

Al Khor pressed hard in the second half and reduced the margin before long through Lasogga.

Aldoukali and Al Harazi combined, with the former finding the mark to make it 4-2.

Al Harazi himself then got on to the scoresheet before Al Habsi reduced the gap.

Kanaani rounded off the tally by converting a penalty, awarded through VAR.
