Xavi Hernandez of Al Sadd has been named as the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League’s Best Coach for the month of September, 2021, according to STATS, the official statistics and figures provider for the Qatar Stars League.
Under Xavi, reigning QNB Stars League champions Al Sadd played five matches and won all of them to collect the maximum 15 points.
The Wolves beat Al Sailiya 2-0 in Week 1, Qatar SC 3-1 in Week 2, Al Rayyan 4-2 in Week 3 and Al Shamal 7-2 in Week 4.
During the period, Al Sadd scored 16 goals while conceding five and they are now leading the QNB Stars League table with 15 points after five rounds of action with an unbeaten record.
Xavi’s playing career was full of success with Barcelona, where he joined at the age of 11, winning many titles especially in Spain and Europe.
In 2015, he moved to Al Sadd, where he won the Qatar League, Amir Cup and Qatar Cup.
The Spaniard took up coaching after retiring as a player at the end of 2018-19 season with Al Sadd. He has since been at the helm of Al Sadd.
