Al Shamal coach Hicham Jadrane spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 8 match against Al Khor.
“We have entered the very important stages for us in the league’s journey, so there is no room for compromising the points in the upcoming matches, starting with the one against Al Khor, which we see as very important.
“We regret the loss of many points in the last period, but at the same time, the team is doing well. We are happy with the good performance of the players and very soon we will reap the fruits of what we offer by achieving positive results.
“Facing Al Khor will not be easy at all. We will face a good and experienced team in the league, which includes players at a high level. They need to win to improve their position in the table and therefore the confrontation will be difficult for both teams.
“I have a lot of confidence in my players and their ability to achieve a positive result that they really deserve, after the team suffered a loss from Al Duhail in the last round. But I confirm that Al Shamal are on the right path and we hope that the Al Khor match will be the real start for us this season,” said Hicham.
Al Shamal player Nasser Al Nasr said, “The match will not be easy and there is no easy match in the league, especially for us as, coming from the Second Division.
“Every match we will play in the coming period will be like a final match in which there is no alternative to winning, so we are looking forward to collecting the three points in view of the team’s good preparations during the past days.”
