Al Duhail coach Hernan Crespo spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 6 match against Qatar SC.

“The team is going through good moments after its recent results and victories, but the challenge continues, and we must work hard to continue winning and do our best in the remaining matches.

“League matches are not easy, but we have to focus on the performance of our players and how to prepare them.

“The defensive performance in the match against Al Arabi was good, but this does not mean that the brilliance was for the defence only, but all the players did everything that was required of them.

“This is the first red card for me throughout my career in the stadiums, and since I was in the age groups, I have not received any red card, but in our match against Al Rayyan I was not very excited after I watched Edmilson screaming from the impact of the blow that was inflicted. Which made me react not very well, which of course I am not happy with and will not happen to me again,” said Crespo.

Al Duhail goalkeeper Shehab Ellethi said, “We are waiting for an important match against Qatar SC, who have distinguished players, but my team-mates are ready to play this game and we will enter the field with full focus in order to continue achieving positive results and providing good performance.

“I want to present myself in the required way and my ambition, like any goalkeeper, is to become the number 1 goalkeeper in the team, which requires me to do my full effort in training in order to prove my abilities. In previous matches, I succeeded to a great extent in protecting my net, thank God, and I hope to do the best for the club in the upcoming matches.”
