Lusail Stadium will host the match between Al Bidda and Eithad Al Gharafa at 7.30pm on Sunday, August 23, 2026, in Week 1 of 2026-2027 season Jetour League. Both teams are eager to start their campaigns positively and secure three points.

Al Bidda enter the match after intensive preparations for the new season, including an overseas training camp in Bolu, Turkey, under the guidance of Spanish coach Gerard Zaragoza. He took over the team’s technical direction and focused during the preparation period on developing the players’ physical, technical and tactical aspects, as well as increasing team cohesion. 

Al Bidda played a number of friendly matches, including a 4-1 victory over Turkish side Kocaelispor and a 2-0 defeat against Kayserispor. They have strengthened the squad with Ukrainian defender Danilo Odud as part of preparations for the upcoming season.

On the other hand, Eithad Al Gharafa enter this match with high hopes of a strong start as they represent the team’s first official test of the new season. 

A fierce competition is expected between the two sides, given the importance of a winning start and each team’s desire to secure their first three points, which would give them an early morale and technical boost in the tournament.
