Qatar SC continued their unbeaten run with a 2-0 defeat of Al Ahli in Week 3 of the 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, Al Sadd, on Saturday.

There was not much difference between the two sides in the first 45 minutes of play, as they seemed to be sizing each other up with not much to show by way of clear chances created.

Qatar SC, however, came out of the dugout after the interval with a more determined mien, and Faïz Selemani made their unhidden intentions known in the 54th minute with a sensational right-footed shot from the edge of the box to open the scoring for the Kings.

Six minutes later, Joao Pedro doubled the lead after a defensive blunder from Al Ahli as Qatar SC took the driver's seat of the entertaining half.

Erik Expósito thought he had pulled one back for Al Ahli in the 83rd minute, but his header was overturned after a VAR review to ensure a clean slate for goalkeeper Ali Nader Mahmoud and the maximum points for Qatar SC, who remain unbeatable after three matches.

Selemani was named Player of the Match.
