Impressive Al Shahania scored a 2-0 win over Al Shamal in Week 21 of 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Wednesday. 

The victory fetched Al Shahania three valuable points and took their tally to 20, while Al Shamal remained on 37 points.

Francesco Antonucci (14th minute) and Pelle van Amersfoort (76th minute) scored the goals.

Antonucci found the target from centre of the box after being nicely set up by Lofti Majder, who received a cross from Abdoulaye Traore.

Al Shahania almost doubled the lead in added time of first half, but an Antonucci free kick hit the crossbar.

Al Shahania eventually got their second goal as Moaz Elwadia broke in and weaved past defenders to provide an unmarked Van Amersfoort with the ball to make a successful strike.

Towards the end, Al Shamal’s Baghdad Bounedjah leapt to steal the ball from the rival goalkeeper’s hands and kick it in, but the referee signalled a foul.
