Al Ahli defeated Al Duhail 2-1 in Week 21 of 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Khalifa International Stadium on Wednesday.

Michel Vlap (17th minute) and Julian Draxler (82nd minute) got the goals for Al Ahli, while Benjamin Bourigeaud scored for Al Duhail (57th minute).

The win took Al Ahli’s tally to 23 points, whereas Al Duhail remained on 30 points.

Vlap’s opening goal was dramatic as it came after Draxler made the move from left but the ball after being intercepted was kicked in hard and blocked away by an Al Duhail defender only to find Vlap on way back. The waiting Dutch midfielder pounced on the chance and scored.

Al Duhail made a reply midway through the second session, with Bourigeaud making an on-the-volley strike to a superb Mobarak Shanan assist (1-1).

The tussle continued until Draxler collected a long ball from Ahmed Reyad at the top of the box to turn around, dash in and score.

It was a second double for Al Ahli as they had defeated Al Duhail 3-2 in the first leg.
