Al Markhiya coach Abdullah Mubarak spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 14 match against Al Duhail.

“The match will not be easy, but it is normal for us to enter the match with the aim of achieving victory.

“Al Duhail have prominent players with a high level in addition to a good substitute bench.

“We will play the match in good spirit after the victory achieved in the last round against Qatar SC.

“All matches we play are difficult and we must play perfectly. Whatever the conditions, we will work to play more seriously in all matches.

“I will not say that we will beat Al Duhail, but we will play the match to win, as we realize that there are differences between the two teams. We came from the second division and face a team considered as one of the best teams in Asia. It is not an underestimation of our team, but each match has its own circumstances.

“We are now without our Iraqi striker Aymen Hussein, who moved to play in the UAE league, but we will work to find solutions to the offensive problem through the plan and tactics that we play with,” said Abdullah Mubarak.

Al Markhiya player Yassin Yaqoub said, “Preparations are taking place for it like any other match and we will work to present a good level and achieve a positive result that doubles our morale to provide more victories and collect points.
