Qatar SC coach Yousef Al Noobi spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 5 match against Al Gharafa.

“I thank the previous technical staff for their efforts. Despite the losses suffered by the team, it was performing well, and there is no doubt that wasting opportunities by players leads to counter-productive results.

“Regarding the upcoming confrontation, it is certain that playing against Al Gharafa is not easy, as we will play against a good team that presents excellent and stable levels, and has finished among the top four for years. And they are now better than us in the standings.

“Regarding the team’s current preparations, time is short before meeting Al Gharafa and we strive to provide everything possible in order to achieve a positive start with the presence of a selection of distinguished players. Things are going well, I am optimistic about the future of the team and the atmosphere is positive in training and preparations are going on very well,” said Yousef.

Qatar SC player Issa Ahmed said, “For us players, we have forgotten the past and will now focus on the next match against Al Gharafa. All of us are responsible in order to achieve positive results and return to the right track, and to satisfy our loyal fans who have stood with us in all circumstances.

“Al Gharafa are a great team that we respect and I believe that, with determination, we will be able to achieve our goals and win challenges, no matter how difficult they are. We are optimistic about the next stage.”
