Al Wakrah face Al Shamal in Week 19 of the 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League at Al Wakrah Stadium on Thursday. The kick-off is at 21:45.

Al Wakrah go into the match with high hopes as they seek reentry to the top four.

The Blue Wave, coached by Marquez Lopez, are currently placed fifth with 27 points (seven victories, six draws and five defeats) from 18 matches.

Al Wakrah, who had lost 2-4 to reigning champions Al Sadd in Week 18, boast mainly of players Mohamed Benyettou, Jacinto Dala, Hazem Shehata, Omar Ali, Lucas Mendez, Ahmed Fadhel and Khaled Munir.

On the other hand, Al Shamal are in ninth place with 17 points (five victories, two draws and 10 defeats) from 17 matches.

Wesam Rizik’s men had beaten Al Ahli by a 1-0 margin in Week 18 and will seek another victory in order to move up the QNB Stars League standings.

They have players such as Amjad Attwan, Ali Olwan, Yacine Bammou, Rabah Yahya, Fahad Waad and Majed Mohammed.

The first leg had ended in a goalless draw.
