Al Rayyan face Qatar SC in a postponed match from Week 18 of the 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League at the Al Gharafa Stadium, on Sunday, April 23, 2023. The kick-off is at 19:00.

The match was postponed and rescheduled due to Qatar SC’s match against Tunisian club Sfaxien in the first leg of first preliminary round in King Salman Club Cup, played in the Tunisian city of Sfax, which ended in a goalless draw.

Qatar SC and Sfaxien played out a 1-1 draw in the return leg in Doha on April 11 and the latter progressed in the tournament on away-goal rule.

Both Al Rayyan and Qatar SC aim full points and thereby return to the winning path after they lost in the league’s last round.

Al Rayyan lost to Al Duhail 3-4 in their postponed match from Week 15 played last Tuesday, while Qatar SC lost 0-2 to Al Sadd in Week 19.

Al Rayyan are placed ninth in the standings with 17 points, on goal difference with Al Shamal, and Qatar SC are sixth with 26 points.

Both teams have in their ranks outstanding players, be they foreign or Qatari professionals, in all departments, particularly in the frontline.
