Al Markhiya face Al Arabi in Week 15 of the 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League at the Al Arabi Stadium on Tuesday. The kick-off is at 16:45.

This will be a strong test for Al Markhiya for several reasons, the most important of which is that they will look to get their campaign back on track after losing 1-3 to leaders Al Duhail in the last round and also because second-placed Al Arabi have presented a great level this season.

Al Arabi had beaten Al Markhiya 2-0 in the first leg of 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League with goals from Omar Al Somah and Yousef Msakni.

However, Al Arabi’s task will also not be easy this time because Al Markhiya have also been doing well and have players of calibre.

The Oryxes had taken the lead against Al Duhail before the latter floored them with three goals inside five minutes.

It may be recalled that Al Markhiya had beaten Qatar SC by a 4-0 margin in Week 13.

Al Arabi, under the tutelage of former Qatar international midfielder Younes Ali, had beaten Al Shamal 1-0 in the last round, with Al Somah netting the winner.

The Dream Team have recorded nine wins, one draw and three defeats from 13 matches with a goal difference of +10 (23 goals for and 13 against). They are placed second with 28 points and trail Al Duhail by only four points.

Al Markhiya, coached by Abdullah Mubarak, are placed eighth in the table with 12 points. They have registered three wins, as many draws and five defeats from 11 matches.
