Al Gharafa face Al Shamal in Week 15 of the 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League at the Al Gharafa Stadium on Monday. The kick-off is at 16:45.

Both teams are looking to put behind the setbacks that they suffered in the last round when Al Gharafa lost 1-3 to reigning champions Al Sadd and Al Shamal lost 0-1 to Al Arabi.

Al Gharafa, placed fifth with 19 points, want to return to the top four, while Al Shamal, ranked 10th with 10 points, seek to stay away from the danger zone.

Al Gharafa have registered five victories as against Al Shamal’s three.

Al Shamal had beaten Al Gharafa 2-1 in the first leg of 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League.

Al Gharafa’s Portuguese coach Pedro Martins will want his wards to make a strong comeback after the loss against Al Sadd. The Cheetahs have the likes of Yacine Brahimi, Mehdi Tahrat, Almahdi Ali, Moayad Hassan, Ahmed Alaaeldin and Homam Al Ameen.

Al Shamal’s new coach Wesam Rizik knows that his team’s task will not be easy in this round as well. They rely on a number of players, such as Amjad Atwan, Mohammed Al Sayed (Geddo), Yacine Bammou and Abdulaziz Metwaly.
