Al Sadd face Al Ahli Tripoli in their third match of Group B at the July 27-August 12 King Salman Club Cup 2023 on Wednesday, August 2. The kick-off is at 4pm at the Damac Stadium in Abha, Saudi Arabia.

Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia will be up against Morocco’s Wydad in a simultaneous kick-off at the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium in the same group the same day.

The game against Al Ahli Tripoli is crucial for group leaders Al Sadd (four points) as they seek a quarterfinal berth. Wydad and Al Ahli are on two points, while Al Hilal have one point.

Al Sadd, who did not have the services of many players during their goalless draw against Wydad in their opener, were served by new recruits Romain Saiss, Paulo Otavio and Gonzalo Plata in their 3-2 thrilling win over Al Hilal, with Plata netting the winning goal in stoppage time.

On the other hand, Al Ahli earned their points from draws against Al Hilal and Wydad, and will be looking to surprise Al Sadd and reach the quarterfinals.
