Al Khor will lock horns with Al Arabi in Week 15 of the 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League at the Al Khor Stadium on Saturday, February 8, 2025. The kick-off is at 6.45pm.
The contest is crucial for both sides as they will be looking to garner maximum points given their placings in the rankings and to ensure that they move away from the relegation zone.
Al Khor are in 12th and last place in the rankings with seven points and a solitary, but strong win over leaders Al Duhail. But they have suffered nine defeats while drawing the other four matches.
The Knights announced the signing of striker Ricardo Gomes from Al Wakrah on loan until the end of season, while Iraqi Aymen Hussein joined the ranks of The Blue Wave, also until the end of season.
A home game against Al Arabi provides them with an opportunity to get another positive result and take their points tally into double figures.
Al Arabi too are going through a difficult period having slid to 11th spot with a total tally of 13 points. The Dream Team have had three wins, four draws and seven defeats so far.
They are also looking to bounce back after two consecutive losses against Al Wakrah and Al Sadd and will look to make amends against Al Khor to gain more points and shore up their position.
The result of the first-leg match between Al Arabi and Al Khor had ended in a 1-1 draw, something which adds more excitement to their second meeting.
Meaanwhile, Al Arabi suffered a 0-3 loss to Qadsia of Kuwait in their away game in Round 5 (Group B) of the Gulf Club Champions League at the Mohammed Al Hamad Stadium of Qadsia club in Kuwait on Wednesday.
The contest is expected to be exciting both between the players on the pitch and rival coaches – Tunisian Mehdi Nafti of Al Khor and Spaniard Yeray Rodriguez of Al Arabi on the sidelines.
Both coaches will look to field their best available lineup out to get a win and collect the three valuable points.
