Al Markhiya will face Al Wakrah in Week 4 of the 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League at the Al Janoub Stadium on Sunday, September 24, 2023. The kick-off is at 8pm.

The match is of high importance for both teams as they seek to garner the valuable three points to further their progress in the league. Al Markhiya are bottom-placed as they are still to log a winning point, while Al Wakrah are fifth in the table with five points and aim to strengthen their position.

Al Markhiya, who suffered a 2-5 loss to Muaither in the last round, are going through a difficult phase and will seek to climb their way back with a positive result.

Al Wakrah, after sharing a goalless draw with Al Sadd, will be looking to return to winning ways. Both sides therefore will push hard for a win.

Al Markhiya are keen to get their maiden win in the new season of the league having lost the first three games, much in contrast to their strong performances last season. The recent recess in the league may not have helped the team’s cause, but they are looking to stage a turnaround.
