Al Duhail have been training daily at the club’s stadiums as part of their preparations for the new football season and league championship for 2023-2024 season.
The training plan drawn up by the coaching staff led by Al Duhail’s Argentinian coach Hernan Crespo, whose contract was renewed by the club management following the club's great success he helped achieve in the last season 2022-2023 winning three championships with the team (The League Championship, Qatar Cup and Ooredoo Cup).
The technical staff is currently focusing on strengthening physical fitness of the players who are present since some have been away doing national duty for Al Annabi in the Gold Cup in the US.
Some injured players are also undergoing rehab, most notably Brazilian Edmilson Junior, who had a successful surgery on his ankle a few days ago in London. He is expected to join his colleagues soon in preparation for the new season, the club announced.
The team’s training, meanwhile, will continue on a daily basis before the players and support staff head to Seefeld, Austria, for the overseas camp, on July 23.
Recently, the club's administration thanked its player Ali Afif following the end of his contract, during which he succeeded in winning a number of championships and titles with the team. He was one of the mainstays in addition to his contributions with the national team where he was a member of the 2019 Asian Cup winning Al Annabi side.
