The Al Thumama Stadium will host the Al Arabi vs Qatar SC Week 8 match of 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League on Sunday, October 27, 2024. The kick-off is at 7.30pm.
Both teams enter the match under different circumstances given their results in the previous round, but the goal remains the same – which is to win and collect the three valuable points.
In the league’s seventh round, Al Arabi lost to Al Shamal 2-5, while Qatar SC beat Al Wakrah 2-1.
In their opening match of the Gulf Club Champions League, Al Arabi held Qadsia of Kuwait 1-1 at the Al Thumama Stadium on Wednesday.
Al Arabi are currently ninth in the Ooredoo Stars League standings with seven points, the same as that of Qatar SC – who are in 10th place on goal difference, and from here each team will try to surpass the other in order to go up in the rankings.
Al Arabi, under their coach Anthony Hudson, would look to bounce back strongly and make their fans happy, especially since their position in the league table is far from the top four. The Dream Team will want to regain their winning touch and hence would go into the match eyeing on the winning points.
Coach Hudson will be relying on Yousef Msakni, Ahmed Fathy, Abdullah Marafi, Marco Verratti and Ahmed Alaaeldin among others to deliver the goods.
On the other hand, Qatar SC will look to continue their good run after having scored over Al Wakrah in the last round, and for the victory to restore their morale. Coach Youssef Safri will surely push his players given their newfound confidence to gain more wins to reach a suitable position in the standings.
Safri relies on the services of his standout players Javi Martinez, Sebastian Soria, Raoul Sanda, Ahmed Abdelkader, Ben Malango and Khaled Mahmoudi among others.
