Al Ahli were held to a 2-2 draw by Turkmenistan’s FK Arkadag in their 2025-2026 season AFC Champions League Two Group B clash at the Al Thumama Stadium on Wednesday.

Defender Matej Mitrovic scored with a header in the 41st minute, followed by a powerful strike from Michel Vlap in the 56th minute. However, these were equalized by Bayram Atayev in the 79th minute and Saparow Mekan in 90+1 minute.

Consequently, Igor Biscan’s team now has three points, which places them two points behind Bahrain’s Al Khaldiya SC. Meanwhile, Arkadag remained at the bottom of table with two points.

The Briagdiers were clearly the better side in the almost one-sided match to the extent that Arkadag failed to land a single shot on target and instead spent the entire first half on the back foot, but were unlucky to end up sharing the spoils with the visitors in a match they could have clearly won.
