Al Rayyan left back Mohamed Jumaa spoke to QSL Online ahead of the big show down between El Jaish and Al Rayyan which will be played this Saturday November 28 at 17:30.

The Lion’s left back was keen to talk about the mouth savouring prospect of playing El Jaish who themselves have shown great form this season.

What do you think of the upcoming match against El Jaish?
It is one of the toughest games this season, if you take into consideration that both teams are competing for the QSL title and we are both at the top of the table, it will be an intriguing clash between the first and second.

Which team do you think will win?
I believe that both teams have equal chances to win on Saturday.

Will El Jaish become another of Al Rayyan’s victims?
Why not, we will enter the game with the same concentration and same effectiveness so that we can achieve victory. I think Al Rayyan is capable of overcoming El Jaish and with our support we can hopefully bag all three points.

What type of game do you think it will be?
I think it will be a tactical game. Which means it won’t be very open to start with but perhaps an individual mistake will be the difference come the final whistle.

What are the strengths and weaknesses of both teams?
For Al Rayyan, our most important strength is our fans; sometimes we can make mistakes if luck isn’t on our side. We also have a very attacking set up. El Jaish have shown good form and they have a good defence this season, they have only let in six goals.

What do you think of the foreign players in both teams?
Each team has some of the best foreign players in the QSL, but they are not the only source of strength within the team. The team consists of 11 players in addition to the technical staff. We also have some of the best local players too.

What would you like to say to your fans before the big game?
We promise them that we will be focused and give our all in order to gain our tenth consecutive victory in the league so far. This will be hard but we will do our best.

What are your individual targets for this season with Al Rayyan?
My ambition is to win the QSL title which we haven’t achieved since 1994/95, while my individual ambition is to represent the Qatar National Team in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
