QSL side El Jaish have confirmed that key defender Lucas Mendes is set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up a knee injury that ruled him out of his sides 2-1 victory last night against Muaither.<br />

The club revealed the news via their official website, noting that Mendes will begin his rehab with the medical team before making his way back to training.<br />

The injury of the Brazilian defender adds to an ever growing injury list for the current QSL league leaders. Currently Sabri Lamouchi’s side is without a host of key players including Seydou Keita, Abdulgadir Ilyas and Khalid Abdulraouf.<br />

Lamouchi will now be hoping that his players can return in time for their round 12 match against Al Gharafa on Thursday evening at Lekhwiya stadium.
