The Qatar Stars League is resuming once again after a long hiatus due to the 2015 Asian Cup which the Qatar national team took part in.

Games will kick off this Thursday; however the featured match this week will take place the following day on Friday the 6th of February at 19:15 at the Grand Hamad stadium, the home ground of Al Arabi Sports Club.

Back in round 3, El Jaish made light work of Al Arabi beating them 3:1 at home, with Abdulrahman Abubaker Eisa getting a hat trick on the day. Al Arabi will have the home advantage this time around but their recent form has seen them plummet down the rankings (9th).

With both teams having plenty of time to rest and recuperate injuries won’t be an issue as we lead up to the game. However both teams have now installed new head coaches mid-season and are in a stage of transition as they try to find their groove respectively.

Al Arabi sees the addition of their Iranian star Askan Dejagah who has returned from the 2015 Asian Cup after his country (Iran) reached the quarter finals.  El Jaish too have seen their squad restored as five Qatar national players returned from the same tournament in Australia. They are: are Ahmad Sufyan, Magid Mohammad, Abdulrahman Abkar Issa, Khalid Abdulraouf and Mohammad Montari.

With El Jaish managing to regain some form before the break, they currently lie in 3rd place and will be looking to not suffer any further defeats this season if they hope to stay in contention come the end of the season.

Al Arabi Sports Club will be organizing some great events for this match.  The day’s entertainments will include both Nepalese and Philippine singers that will perform before the match, at half time.  At the end of the day there will also be an exciting raffle draw at 21:10 with plenty of prizes up for grabs.

So make sure to come along for what will be a great night of football and entertainment in the Qatar Stars league this weekend.
