Head coach Michael Laudrup has given his players a rest from training before they start preparing for round 11 of the Qatar Stars League (QSL) which will recommence on the 29th of November.

The Dane said that once his players return from their break, he will make any necessary tweaks and also use this spare time to raise the general fitness of the squad.

Lekhwiya is currently in second position in the QSL standings and are on 23 points, with Al Sadd leading the chase on 26.

Lekhwiya too will have a number of players travelling to Saudi Arabia for the 2014 Gulf Cup of Nations. Some will represent the national team whilst others will join the Olympic team.

Lekhwiya’s four foreign players, Nam Tae-Hee, Vladimir Weiss, Chico Flores and Yousef Msakni will also be away with their respective national teams.

Al Sadd are the only side to beat the Red Knights this season (3-0).
