QSL side Lekhwiya have been handed an injury blow ahead of the new season, announcing that defender Vivien Assie Koua is set for a spell on the sidelines.

The new signing from Al Kharitiyat picked up the calf injury at the clubs preseason training camp in Austria, and after being confirmed by the medical team is set to be unavailable for at least six weeks.
