
QSL new boys Qatar SC unveiled two further local signings as the Kings look to strengthen their side ahead of the 2017/2018 campaign.
The club called a press conference on Wednesday morning to formally announcing the signing of former Al Arabi defender Ali Jassimi and former Al Ahli keeper Satea Abdelnasser. A host of club officials attending the ceremony, including Qatar SC president Sheikh Jassem Bin Hamad Bin Nasser Al Thani.
Speaking on joining the Kings Ali Jassimi, who penned a three year deal admitted he was looking forward to competing with the side. “Qatar Sports Club are well known in Qatar the side is used to high quality, and i think we will do well in the league and get back to our rightful place competing in the QSL.”
Whilst keeper Satea Abdelnasser, who signed a one year deal with the side stated that he will do all he can on making an impact at the Kings. “This decision to start in goal will not depend just on me, it will be down to the coach and I will do my best to grab the number one shirt for my new side.”
The signing of Jassimi & Abdelnasser caps off a busy couple of weeks of signings for the Kings. Last week the club signed no fewer than four local players as they prepare for the new QSL campaign under the guidance of new Argentine head coach Gabriel Calderón.
