Al Sadd head coach Hussein Ammota reinforced Xavi’s comments after the press conference saying, “Al Sadd is a passing team and Xavi will complement our style very well. He will add a lot of quality both tactically and technically but most of all he is a natural leader. He will show this to the players and hopefully instill that winning mentality.”<br />

He was, however careful not to get carried away, “One player alone can’t win the titles but his influence I am sure will give the team more enthusiasm and motivation next season.”
