Al Sadd head coach Hussein Ammota reinforced Xavi’s comments after the press conference saying, “Al Sadd is a passing team and Xavi will complement our style very well. He will add a lot of quality both tactically and technically but most of all he is a natural leader. He will show this to the players and hopefully instill that winning mentality.”
 
He was, however careful not to get carried away, “One player alone can’t win the titles but his influence I am sure will give the team more enthusiasm and motivation next season.”
