QSL side El Jaish has suffered a major injury blow ahead of the start of the QSL season on the 15th of September. Jaish confirmed that the prolific Moroccan attacker Abdulrazak Hamdullah is set for two months on the sidelines following a hairline fracture to the knee cap.

It is believed that Hamdullah has already returned to Doha, and is set for orthopedic surgery at ASPETER today. The injury means that Hamdallah will almost certainly miss his sides crunch AFC Champions League ties against UAE Pro-League side Al Nassr on the 24th of August and 14th of September, along with the first games of the new QSL season.

The former Guangzhou R&F hit-man enjoyed a fine maiden season in the QSL, bagging 21 goals in 23 games to share the Mansor Muftah award with Rodrigo Tabata at the 2016 QFA awards.  Whilst also helping his side pick up their second ever Qatar Cup, scoring the winner in the final against rivals Lekhwiya.
