Al Rayyan’s Moroccan striker Abderrazaq Hamdallah has started his physiotherapy sessions as he recovers from an ankle injury he suffered towards the end of last season.

Hamdallah, who is undergoing an intensive treatment and rehabilitation programme, is expected to regain full fitness soon as Al Rayyan look to build on their Sheikh Jassim Cup triumph throughout this season.

Hamdallah played a key role as Al Rayyan finished third in last season’s QNB Stars League. He was their top scorer with 18 goals.

Al Rayyan are also without the services of injured defender Mohamed Alaaeldin. The Lions have yet to replace Moroccan midfielder Mohsine Moutaouli, who has moved to Al Ahli.
