The third stage of the hugely popular GOALZ Program will conclude on February 19 and 20 at Al Wakra Sports Club, Qatar Stars League Management (QSLM) officials said on Wednesday.
 
The two-day football festival, that will feature students from seven schools, has a huge following from the young football fans across the country.
 
Seven schools set to participate in the football festival this week:
 
-          Newton International Academy
 
-          Cambridge School
 
-          International School of Choueifat
 
-          American School
 
-          Newton International School
 
-          Doha English School
 
-          Pearling School
 
The first day of the festival – Thursday – will see competitions for students of 3rd and 4th grades. Action will commence at 08:00 am until
12:00 noon.
 
The second day of the festival – Friday – is reserved for students of 5th and 6th grades. Action will start at 01:30pm until 04:30 pm. The prize distribution ceremonies will be conducted after the competitions, officials said.
 
The GOALZ program aims at building communications between the Qatar Stars League Management (QSLM) and the 14 affiliated clubs through domestic community events and working with schoolchildren, in addition to educating the kids about QSL fixtures, healthy eating and the risks living a sedentary lifestyle
