The board of trustees for the QFA awards headed by HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, head of the Qatar Football Association has approved the final nominees for the upcoming QFA awards which is set to take place on Saturday the 20th of May at the QNCC in Education city.

Voting forms have now been received back from the participants in the voting process, with the final nominees confirmed for the awards on the night as follows:

Best U23 Player- Almoez Ali (Lekhwiya) Yousef Hassan (Al Gharafa) Salem Al-Hajri (Al Sadd)
Coach of the year- Djamel Belmadi (Lekhwiya) Jesualdo Ferriera (Al Sadd) Sabri Lamouchi (El Jaish)
Player of the year- Xavi (Al Sadd) Hassan Haydos (Al Sadd) Nam Tae Hee (Lekhwiya)

The Trustee’s also confirmed again that the Mansor Muftah award, which is given to the top scorer in the QSL season will be awarded to Lekhwiya striker Yusef El Arabi who scored 24 goals this season.

Additionally, for the first time ever a referee of the year will be awarded on the evening in recognition for the best referee over the course of the domestic football season. The remaining awards will be distributed on the evening of Saturday the 20th of May at the QNCC.
