Al Arabi Sports Club formally introduced their new professional player Rod Fanni to the media during the press conference held in the Club headquarters in the presence of General Secretary Ahmed El Emadi,  Head of Football Ali Al-Sulaiti, and the Club  spokesman Abdel Rahman Al-Khulaifi.

Dr. El Emadi said that by signing Fanni, it settled the issues within the back lline as Arabi had been on the look out for an experienced player who can play in different positions.

El Emadi also said that the player's huge experience as well as his caps with the French National Team encouraged the team to sign him indicating that the age doesnt form any obstacle as long as the player is performing well.

Fanni promised to do all his best and exert much efforts to transfer his huge experience in the European leagues to Al Arabi during the coming two seasons. The french defender added  that Al Alrabi's desire to build their future dream team to be able to compete with the top sides in the league was what encouraged him to join Al Arabi.

Fani also pointed out to the fact that he preferred Al Arabi over many other offers from English, American, Turkish and Gulf clubs as well as his previous French Club to extend his contract for three seasons.

Fani also noted that he was encouraged to play in Qatar, by the fact that players such as Lige 1 stars Nene, Juninho, & Niang have all previously played in the Qatar Stars League. Fanni also noted the excitement of playing in Qatar ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
