DOHA: Qatar Stars League (QSL) outfit El Jaish on Wednesday lost their first leg of the AFC Champions League quarter-finals to UAE's Al Nasr.
 
A brace from striker Wanderley helped Al Nasr claim an emphatic 3-0 win as the Emiratis took a giant step towards reaching their first ever semi-final.
 
After a slow start at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium, the game burst into life as half-time approached and Wanderley gave Al Nasr the lead shortly before the interval.
 
Jonathan Pitroipa’s goal put the visitors two up on 54 minutes, before Wanderley’s second strike with six minutes remaining wrapped up a resounding victory ahead of September’s return fixture in Dubai.
 
Wanderley fired in from 20 yards in the sixth minute, but goalkeeper Khalifa Ababacar was down well to tip wide.
 
The return leg will be played in Dubai on September 14.
