Newly promoted QSL side Qatar SC have confirmed that Argentine coach Gabriel Calderón has joined the club on a two year contract.

Calderón was presented to the local media on Tuesday evening in the presence of Qatar SC president Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad bin Nasser Al Thani. The Argentine coach is no stranger to the GCC having managed a number of sides in the region, including most recently a stint with Arabian Gulf League side Al-Wasl.

Speaking at the press conference, the 57 year old revealed his excitement at taking charge of the Kings. “I’m excited for the challenge ahead with Qatar Sports Club. I would like to thank the management of the club for welcoming myself and I hope that we can get Qatar SC back to their rightful place in the Qatar Stars League.”
