Al Rayyan defender determined to defeat Al Gharafa in round nine.

Al Rayyan defender Nathan is expecting a tough game when the reigning QSL champions take on Al Gharafa on Saturday evening. The no nonsence defender gave his thoughts to QSL online ahead of the round nine match of the week.

Nathan opened up stressing that his side are eager to take all three points against a tough opponent; “We are determined to win this game. It will be very difficult because both sides are in good form, i hope own the result will fall in our favour and help us in our league campaign.”

“Both sides have strong players all over the pitch, Al Rayyan have shown this by winning the league and not falling to defeat this season.” added the Brazilian born defender when asked which side had the upper hand heading into the game.

Nathan was pushed on the players to watch out for in Al Gharafa, however the defender was clear that was not his priority going into the game. “ For me, I am focusing on my own game and knowing what Al Rayyan can achive as a team. I am not worried about one player at Al Gharafa.”

He continued: “Our current goals not to waste any points and to win each and every game with all due respect to all other teams, assuring that every game will tough but with more hard work and concentration, Al Rayyan is capable of achieving their goals.”

Nathan also had some warm words for new Al Rayyan head coach Michael Laudrup; “Laudrup is a fantastic coach and well known in the world of football, I am looking forward to achieving great things with him at Al Rayyan.”

Nathan ended his conversation with QSL online noting that Al Rayyan are more than capable to retain the QSL title;“Al Rayyan is a big club and we have the potential to win the league title this season we just need to focus on our upcoming games and get the results we need.”
