
Al Sailiya’s summer signing Nadir Belhadj is hopeful that the Peregrines can enjoy yet another solid season in the QNB Stars League. The former Al Sadd player, had an exclusive interview with QSL online on the sidelines of the recent media day.
Opening up the conversation Belhadj admitted that preseason had gone well with his new side. “We have worked hard in Tunisia this preseason, with everyone now fully prepared we had a great time and put in good performances in our friendly games. The side is ready for the new league season.”
Belhadj is no stranger to the QNB Stars League, having played for Al Sadd ultimately that made his decision to return to Qatar easier. “I was with Al Sadd for six seasons, and had great memories with them, but now I will start with Al Sailiya, I know how they play and how good the technical staff and players are for me that made the decision easy.”
Ending the interview, the former Algerian international revealed that he is confident that his side can preform this season. “Right now everything has gone well in the preseason and with our preparation. I hope we can put this into the matches for the new season.” Al Sailiya open up their QNB Stars League season against Al Arabi.
