Al Arabi midfielder Ashkan Dejagah is expecting a tough match when his side takes on Al Sadd on Sunday evening at Lekhwiya stadium. The Iranian international sat down with QSL online to get his thoughts ahead of the top 4 clash.

How has preparations gone for the Sadd match?
Our preparations started immediately following Al Rayyan game. Our head coach spoke to us about ignoring the previous results.

Do Arabi have enough to win this match?
I think so, Al Sadd have been shaken in recent months with some shock results. We have been composed lately and we have enough quality to win.

Which Al Sadd player you fear the most?
You can’t go into a match fearing a particular player. However Al Sadd   have some distinguished players, whom we have to stop in order to achieve victory players like Belhadj, Ali Asad and of course Xavi.

What are the advantages of both teams?
Al Arabi is a big team in Qatar and are very familiar with  winning championships and titles , we just need some extra confidence and consecutive wins. For Al Sadd they have a mixture of experience and young talent. I am looking forward to this match so we can win and get back into the top 4, which is our big objective.

Will the recent defeat to Al Rayyan will affect your team ?
No it won’t.  Al Arabi players are well aware of the importance of each and every game. What distinguished our head coach the fact that he can separate between each confrontation and prepare the team well before each match.

What is the difference between the previous match versus Al Rayyan and this one against Al Sadd?
Al Arabi will have big role in supporting us in such tough games. The previous match was intence especiallywith all the comments on social media. However for this we are ready to push on and get the win we need.

Can Al Arabi get back into the top 4?
Of course we can, we have plenty of chances to get back into that spot. We just need to be consistant in our final games in the season.

What is the ambition of your team this season?
We just need to finish strong, and grab that top 4 place. I think we also can go well in the cup competitions.
