QSL side Al Gharafa has formally announced the signing of Portuguese midfielder Diogo Amado from Estoril Praia on a three year contract.

The club held a press conference on Friday evening to confirm the deal, in the presence of club officials and new Cheetahs boss Jean Fernandez. Speaking on joining Al Gharafa, the 27 year old admitted his excitement at joining the side.

“I have heard many good things about the club, and know that many great players down the years have represented Al Gharafa. I hope that I can help the side compete for trophies over the course of the season.”
